Jane xx MEET KATIE - Our newest member and creator of invitation magic (Photography by Edwina Robertson - http://edwinarobertson.com) In the age of facebook event invites and paperless post, it is a rare gem to get an actual invitation via snail mail. In my opinion nothing compares to receiving a paper card in the post for such a momentous occasion as your engagement or wedding. When I was narrowing down my own wedding invitations, I spent a lot of time pouring over Pinterest in search of inspiring designs. There were so many pretty ones, which made it very hard to choose! I wanted something that reflected my wedding theme without giving too much away and an invite that tempted guests with an exciting anticipation of what our big day would be like. This is what I came up with below: As wedding season is now in full-swing, a big shout out to all of you getting married this year. I hope that our new stationery ranges inspire you, and remember if you have specific taste please get in contact with us for a quote on custom designs.

In the spirit of Valentines day I decided to have a red theme this week! Red is such a tricky colour to get right. Use too much and it can be a disaster and your big day could look like you are at a Sydney Swans football game. Red is such a strong and vibrant colour which can add great pops of interest throughout you big day. I have compiled a gallery of images from my favourite place, Pinterest, to demonstrate how these stylists have used red the RIGHT way. Please enjoy. Jane xx Invitations - subtle hints of red used in sections of these gorgeous invitations Flowers - red teamed with burgundy and pinks, softens the stark red on its own. Also pairing it with different textures and other strong colours such as yellow counteracts the strength of the red. Bridal Party - hints of red used through the accessories - Bouquets, Ties, Shoes Red Receptions - Red teamed with gold works beautifully and touches of black add drama. Red for the Daring - A red canopy of fresh floral or perhaps a red wedding dress?! Stunning!
An element people tend to disregard when developing their dream wedding is the lighting. Lighting has become such a feature in the wedding industry these days, and there is SO MANY great options. I am currently obsessed with lighting, and have many new and interesting ideas that will be released this year. Candles is usually the go to lighting feature for many brides, they shouldn't be pushed aside either! The light a candle provides is soft and creates a beautiful glow around the venue. There is so many unique ways to use candles these days and a lot of them are totally achievable in a DIY sense. They are also really great to fill corners of rooms to help light bounce off the walls. Let us be the ones to help you achieve magic lighting at your next event! We can't wait to hear your ideas! Or if you are stuck for ideas, we have plenty!! J xx Here are some options you may not have previously considered: Fairy lights have become extremely popular over the last few years and stylists are becoming more and more creative in finding ways to use this versatile lighting source. The mass lengths available and the malleability of them allow for some awesome lighting features. Similar to fairy lights, the festoon light has taken over the wedding scene and has allowed stylist to achieve a vintage and industrial feel to their event lighting. We will have some of these babies arriving very very soon! Edison lights have also become a massive feature in the industrial romantic wedding scene. I absolutely love these lights. They are amazing and we have BIG plans for these! So many options to create a gorgeous feature with these pendant lights. These are on another levee completely!! The humbled chandelier now comes in many different shapes, sizes and uses! These beautiful creations will always be in fashion in the events industry. They provide the most beautiful romantic lighting and they will always have a place in my heart! We have a cool range of chandeliers in the Lighting section of the Hire tab on the website.
